    Creative Learning Academy

    Trilingual Education for Global Citizens

With 30 years of experience in teaching world music and culture to children, Padmini Srinivasan Hands founded Creative Learning Academy in Mission Viejo in 2012. Creative Learning Academy (CLA) is an academic and art-focused preschool with “the commitment to expose children to global cultures and languages, and actively support their learning,” as our founding vision.

Creative Learning Academy provides the families of South County with a full array of infant/toddler, preschool, kindergarten and afterschool services. From our inception, we have been able to demonstrate what it means to celebrate each individual’s culture and develop our students as global citizens. Within the four walls of our school, our students have explored cultures of Japan, China, India, the Philippines, Brazil, Australia, France, Iran, Mexico, and America, to name a few.

“My son is HAPPY. He is somewhere positive. He knows he has a voice and his voice matters.”
    –Danielle Bradley

Through a consistent exposure to languages, music, arts, and stories of cultures, Creative Learning Academy has raised our children to become participant-observers of world cultures, more than merely consumers. Our children embrace their own heritage, and celebrate the backgrounds and cultures of others. They are constantly creating — whether it is books, music or art. This program allows for self-expression, acceptance and exploration of interests. A child’s natural curiosity and willingness to ask questions is the basis for learning in Creative Learning Academy’s multicultural approach to education.

With these experiences behind us, Creative Learning Academy has prepared something new and exciting for you and your child. In September 2016, Creative Learning Academy will launch our trilingual program comprising the world’s top three spoken languages – Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, and English for ages 3 and up.

Using our combination of approaches (workshop, neuro-education, and village approaches) your child will learn and internalize 20-25 words/phrases each week and have a working vocabulary of 500 words and phrases by the end of the year developing age-appropriate skills taught which include reading, understand, speaking and writing. CLA is also hosting the second annual CultureFest. Join the CLA community in celebrating Global Cultures at their campus in North Mission Viejo close to RSM, Lake Forest and Foothill Ranch on Tuesday, August 23rd from 5:30 – 7:00pm. We promise great music, food, and activities for you and your children. An entry fee of $10/ family will be donated to Adrian Hands Academy, a charter project to be launched in 2017.

“One of the best decisions I have taken for my son is to send him to Creative Learning Academy. Though he is not yet in kindergarten, he is solving the same type of math problems my daughter is solving in 3rd grade and doing so with great enjoyment.”
