la pata, la pata, la pata…
San Clemente, Big Bear, Ladera Ranch, Saddleback Valley, and South Orange County just edged and crept closer to each other. Quality recreation just spread way out for Saddleback Valley and San Clemente. San Clemente is now (almost) a contiguous neighbor to Ladera Ranch.
You want gymnastics for kids: La Pata, La Pata, La Pata. San Clemente families can now be at Cal Elite Kids Gymnastics in 15 minutes. Ladera Ranch residents can be seated with the locals on the beach, in the sand, at San Clemente, enjoying the summer beach concerts, presented by the San Clemente Parks and Recreation Department.
Dance lessons……. there are now hundreds of options for families throughout South Orange County without driving in traffic for 45 minutes. You can now have the best instruction possible within 15 minutes. La Pata. La Pata. La Pata. Oh, and yes; if you love pasta and La Pata your options are like a fantasy football draft.
Mission Viejo families want their children to train with world champion Paulo Guillobel, Brazilian Jujitsu. If you’re in Saddleback Valley, you’re 15 minutes away from sweating on the mat and learning how to avoid an arm bar.
Better yet, you want to live at the beach, call Bill Conrad. La Pata, La Pata, La Pata love that Pasta. La Pata changes everything in the South County, specifically the recreation landscape.
Service will be key. Golf lessons are now available at Talega Golf Course, Tiny Tees. Talega Golf Course is 20 minutes away from anybody in the Saddleback Valley. Everyone south of Ortega Highway became 30 minutes closer to the Oktoberfest in Big Bear Lake, California.
LA PATA. LA PATA. LA PATA.
Some things never change!
Well, Southern California just experienced a huge change. Most of you, by the time you read this article, Vince Scully will have called his last strike, given his last history lesson, sold his last Farmer John Dodger Dog and described his last drunk. Who else can relate a fever to a goose bump. Explained to his last sportswriter, “If you want to make God smile tell him your plans.”
“Losing feels worse than winning feels good.” Greatest broadcaster, teacher, gentlemen, poet or any of the above. Vince Scully, “LIP” Live in Peace for a couple more decades.
My personal favorite quote from Vince Scully. “Statistics are used much like a drunk uses a lamp post: for support, not a illumination.” The only thing better, was his trademark. If the crowd roared he shut the Hicup-up!
Miss you already, Bro.
