Located just off the 5 freeway in south side San Clemente, the Living Art Gallery will be hosting its 2015 Art Show on September 12th. With the doors opening at 5:30 pm, guests in attendance will enjoy a diverse selection of art ranging from oil and acrylic paintings, photographic prints and hand-crafted ceramics. The local artists proudly displaying their respective masterpieces and collaborations include Monte Livingston, Jeff Lukasik, Jason Weaver, Hayley Schwied, Andi Gould, Britta Christiansen and David Teregis. With both live and silent auctions, food and drinks and rhythmic beats provided by DJ Shades, this is an event no one will want to miss. Admission is free, so don’t pass on the opportunity to enjoy the entertainment and support your local artists.
The Living Art Gallery, which serves as both an art gallery and tattoo lounge, has been open since November 2011. Owner Monte Livingston, a San Clemente native, first began his self-taught studies of the practice of tattoo at the age of 15. Although Monte’s entire life has been surrounded by art, it wasn’t until 2007 where he truly began to perfect his trade. As Monte will share with you at the Art Show, “My focus is purely on art, and I am very dedicated to my craft. I look forward to every opportunity to perform.” Since the opening of the shop, which Monte has used as his home base to develop his artistic expression and love for tattoo, the gallery continues to expand in an effort to support the local artists and provide a platform to expose each artist’s unique talents.
On behalf of San Clemente’s Living Art Gallery, Monte warmly welcomes each and every guest to arrive early, enjoy the artistic displays and possibly leave with a framed memory which will last forever.
