MoonGoat Coffee’s Fifth Orange County Location at Pacific Arts Plaza in Costa Mesa to be MoonGoat’s largest location!
MoonGoat Coffee Roasters, one of Orange County’s most celebrated coffee roasters, will open its fifth and largest location this summer at Irvine Company’s Pacific Arts Plaza, a centrally located workplace in Costa Mesa’s arts and culture district. The new brick and mortar location will have its Grand Opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony with Costa Mesa Mayor John Stephens on Wednesday, August 6. The event is open to the public and guests can sample MoonGoat’s award-winning coffee, receive 20% off on purchases all day, and have a chance to win gift card giveaways starting at 9a.m. The ribbon cutting ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m.
“The Costa Mesa community has embraced MoonGoat since our first storefront in West Side Costa Mesa opened in 2019, and we are thrilled to open our newest and largest location here in partnership with Irvine Company,” said Alex Centner, Sales Director of MoonGoat Coffee. “As a South Coast Metro resident, I’m proud to open our fifth location at the start of South Coast Plaza’s Art Walk,” said David Yardley, President of MoonGoat Coffee. “MoonGoat Greenhouse is our largest shop, behind the counter and for seating – with a patio that opens onto the iconic Noguchi Gardens at Irvine Company’s Pacific Arts Plaza. We can’t wait to welcome guests into our most impressive place yet.”
The new MoonGoat Greenhouse, at 3210 Park Center Drive, will offer a diverse selection of coffee and matcha drinks, as well as a broad breakfast and lunch menu. It will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, including weekends. With a Roastery in Santa Ana and now five brick and mortar locations based in Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Laguna, and Irvine, MoonGoat offers a variety of coffee and tea sourced from a network of more than 15 countries, vendors across the U.S., and local influence when possible.
“We’re excited to see MoonGoat continue to grow in one of Orange County’s most central locations and at an Irvine Company workplace,” said Roger DeWames, President of Irvine Company Office Properties. “This celebrated local roaster and eatery is the latest amenity offering for our customers and is part of our recently completed investment at Pacific Arts Plaza, which also includes a new meeting and events venue and fitness center.”
This will be MoonGoat’s second retail location at an Irvine Company workplace, with their first opening last year at UCI Research Park in Irvine. In addition, three other eateries located across Irvine Company office properties in Orange County proudly brew MoonGoat coffee – Olive Grove Café, Spectrum Kitchen and Pacific Breeze Café.
MoonGoat was founded in 2018 by Mark Evans, David Yardley, and David Longridge with a vision to bring people together and create an experience that harkened back to the days of Coffee House lore. In 2021, after three years in business, MoonGoat was named OC’s #1 Roaster. The company offers retail specialty coffee, wholesale, catering, as well as private event spaces.
Adjacent to South Coast Plaza and Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Pacific Arts Plaza is a centrally located campus with four distinctive high-rise and mid-rise buildings. Pacific Arts Plaza offers customers a true live, work, play experience with walkable access to luxury shopping, elevated dining, world-class arts & entertainment, resort-style apartment homes, and upscale hotels. The workplace also offers onsite amenities, including a new 100-seat Venue meetings and events center, Kinetic fitness center, connected outdoor workspace, and the 1.6 acre Noguchi Garden. Its highly visible location along the 405 freeway also offers easy access to the 5 and 55 freeways, 73 Toll Road and John Wayne Airport.
