The Secretary of Tourism of Baja California Promotes Social Tourism
In a meeting with Mtro. Miguel Aguiñaga Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism Baja California, Ph.D. Vinod Sasidharan, Director of Transborder for San Diego State University, and Adolfo Delgado, Director of Binational Committee United for the Children – CBUN will work to promote social tourism in California, the goal is to make the program sustainable.
Ph.D. Vinod Sasidharan’s area of expertise is in sustainable development and tourism in the California-Baja Mexico transborder region, international tourism, tourism and technology, tourism certification, sustainable tourism assessment, interdisciplinary analyses of tourism, tourism and corporate social responsibility, indigenous tourism, and tourism best practices.
The Binational Committee United for the Children is working on several projects and one of them is social tourism which permits students from California Universities to work in Baja California helping children and improving their quality of life.
This collaboration is preparing a media campaign to promote in California the goodwill between the two countries on the 18th of November — the Thanksgiving event will be held at the Los Remedios restaurant with the participation of Point Loma Nazarene, San Diego, San Diego State University, and will have the presence of Consul General Thomas E. Reott.
