    Village Fall Wine Walk

An Afternoon of Shopping, Walking and Wine Tasting

The Village Business Association (VBA) of Big Bear Lake hosts its annual Fall Wine Walk on Saturday, September 12th, 2015 from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm in the downtown Big Bear Lake Village shopping district. The merchant organized event will showcase fine wines from around the world and the Village’s unique businesses, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to Big Bear Valley Education Trust, Christmas in the Village and numerous other events for the community.

A Wine Walk is a creative social event that combines shopping with food and wine tasting as attendees walk from merchant to merchant. The VBA Wine Walk is a growing social and economically stimulating event, which showcases the Village as a shopping destination to visitors and locals alike.
“Not only has the Wine Walk has grown into a fabulous event that we designed to feature merchants here in the Village, but to also benefit all businesses and organizations in the valley,” said Cheri Wilson, chair of the VBA Wine Walk and owner of Home Warehouse Design Center, a participating store in the event. “The fall Wine Walk is a great opportunity to taste a variety of wines you might not ever have a chance to taste.” The VBA is anticipating a sellout event of 1400 participants to enjoy an afternoon of great wines, wonderful hors d’oeuvres, music, mountain air and lake views.

The Wine Walk has become a popular event for the VBA and the merchants. With every event, the list of participating merchants has grown and the event has drawn attendees from as far away as Las Vegas, Nevada. Surpassing all seasonal and other events, the Wine Walk has become the most successful event produced and hosted by the VBA in terms of funds raised and donations.

Presale tickets for the Village Fall Wine Walk cost $35 if purchased before September 1, 2015 and will be $45 from September 1st on, if available. Tickets can be purchased online at bigbearlakevillage.com and at The UPS Store. The Wine Walk will begin at 3:30 pm and end at 7:00 pm, shortly followed by a raffle prize drawing for event attendees. Wine Walk participants must be at least 21 years old. Ticket holders receive a map of participating businesses, a commemorative wine glass, 12 wine tasting tickets and a wristband at check-in. Guest check-in will begin at 2:30 pm on the corner of Pine Knot Avenue and Village Drive.

Participating Businesses: Hunter Hall’s, Charleze, Chad’s Place, Artisans, O Koo Ran, Copper Q, Village Sweet Shoppe, Belladonna Clothing, Amangela’s, Del Lago’s Boutique, The Bath Workshop, Del Lago’s Home Décor, Le Dolce Vita Tasting Room, Murray’s Saloon & Eatery, Room to Room, Home Warehouse Design Center, Paisley Boutique, The Cave, AV Nightclub, Nottingham’s, Brown Bear Gift Shop, Whiskey Dave’s, Le Muse, Bear Skins, Wheeler Steffen Sotheby’s, The Village Quilt Shop, Lily Bear Lodging/Village Mall, Northwood Resort and 572 Social Kitchen and Lounge.

Contributing Restaurants: Sonora Cantina, The Captain’s Anchorage, Sugar Pine Bake Shop, Stillwell’s, Hacienda Grill and Knickerbocker Mansion Bistro
We are also happy to welcome Classic Wines of California and Joseph Filippi Winery and Vineyards.

About the Big Bear Lake Village Business Association
The Mission of the VBA is to be the prime organization representing the interests of the Village as the premier shopping, entertainment and resort destination in the Big Bear Valley. This year a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Big Bear Valley Education Trust.
